Peak Divide ONEr ‘25 Report
Sometimes, less is more.
Windy ONEr?
Half ONEr?
Demi Divide?
Whatever the Divide designation, what definitely became clear once more was that the people make PD what it is. Fuelled by a Mowbray candlelit pasta banquet, 185 shufflers made their way out of the Steel City and pointed their headtorches west, in the direction of the Peak.

A Stanage Sunrise caught the eye early on before Storm Amy took centre stage.
The plan to shuffle the full 76-kilometre route from Sheffield to Manchester might have gone south, but the first named storm of the 2025-26 winter wasn’t going to stop the convoy from steadily heading west.
The Peak Divide is designed to help the ultra-curious journey further than they thought possible; sometimes that doesn’t mean distance. After 35-kilometres, Storm Amy’s intervention caused the ONEr to be stopped in the heart of the Peak at Edale Egale. While the ONEr 2025 (#3) was half-distance - for most ;) - it was certainly not half measures.
Or half-hearted.
The Windy ONEr was a wild one.

Peak Divide ONEr - the fourth edition - runs 3th October 2026. One day earlier, to avoid the storm season(!) Entries are open now…
Chapeau to you all - and to the 10 shufflers who made it all the way to Manchester, under our radar of course.
Thanks for journeying with us.
