Peak Divide Classic ‘26 Report

On 18th April 2026, 293+ shufflers (and 5 riders) converged at the Vimto Statue in Manchester and began a magical slow journey to the Peak and beyond. The following afternoon they would reach Sheffield, many having run further than they thought possible.

293 shufflers, and 5 riders, gathered outside Manchester’s most iconic fruit beverage themed statue.

Kinder Scout, day one, between downpours.

I've been over Snowdon, I've slept upon Crowdon

I've camped by the Waynestones as well

I've sunbathed on Kinder, been burned to a cinder

And many more things I can tell

My rucksack has oft been me pillow

The heather has oft been me bed

And sooner than part from the mountains

I think I would rather be dead
