Peak Divide Classic ‘25 Report

On 26th April 2025, 267 shufflers converged at the Vimto Statue in Manchester and began a magical slow journey, on foot, 76km across the Peak. The following afternoon they would reach Sheffield, many having run further than they thought possible.

What possessed the Peak Divide class of '25 to Divide the Peak? Quite a few things, it turns out.

Sibling non-rivalries. Dog walks, dialled up a notch. Long days to celebrate birthdays.

Challenge. Charity.

Birds, outdoors. LHG revelry. A Pathfinder weekender.

Celebrating and honouring new and old family members.

The ritual of a Gee Cross meal deal.

The lure of Manchester canal graffiti and Stef's gnocchetti.

All fine reasons to journey.

Day two, just out of camp, kicking up dust.

Thanks to all shufflers, and families.

Thanks to Altra for hosting.

Thanks to Garmin, Sums, OGT, Alba Optics, and Helinox.

Thanks to Kickback Coffee, Oatly, Northtown Kitchen, Newfold Campsite, Companio Bakery, and Track Brewery.
