Peak Divide - Event Waiver

The boring bit.

As a Peak Divide Shuffler, I understand and acknowledge that:

1. I have read the Event Webpage and Trail Book, and have assessed that the event conforms to my technical skills and physical aptitudes;

2. I have read the route and unconditionally agree to follow it, as well as to know all the rules of the trail and the Highway Code;

3. The route will not be waymarked or closed to traffic, and will not be fully supervised so I’ll have to navigate, comply with the rules of the Highway Code and pay particular attention at road crossing points;

4. I will carry the mandatory kit list, and will seriously consider the suggested kit list.

5. I may be photographed or filmed on the days of the Event. By participating, I give explicit permission for the Organiser and their Partners to use any recorded material, license free. However, I have the right to request at any time the removal of photos and videos that depict me exclusively;

6. There are risks of injury and/or inherent damage that may be associated with running at any time and for any reason, and, by participating in the Event, I personally assume all the risks, as well as the responsibility for the damage that may be caused, directly or indirectly, to others and to equipment. I declare to hold the organisers harmless from any civil and criminal liability for any damages that may arise from my participation in the Event, as well as from any further action/claim from third parties or Public Authorities as a result of facts attributable to myself;

7. I’ll exempt the Organisers and Partners from any liability in the broadest way for myself and for my successors and assignees in any capacity whatsoever, from any and all obligation to pay compensation of any kind in the event of any accident, whatever its duration, its outcome and the related consequences that may occur to me, or to any third party, within the Event;

8. I’ll maintain disciplined behaviour, inspired by mutual respect and good manners;

9. I’ll collaborate with the Organiser and other members of Peak Divide, in order to ensure the success of the event and to guarantee maximum safety for everyone;

10. If bringing a dog, I am fully responsible for their, other Shuffler, other livestock, and the general public’s welfare for the entire Event and that I will have them on a lead in urban centres and trails during nesting season and/or amongst surrounding livestock.

Thank you. See you soon.
